Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Operations Specialist to join our 30-person team in São José dos Campos, Brazil. This role requires strong accounting, budgeting, and financial management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure smooth financial operations. This is a full-time position with a salary of 6,000 to 9,000 per month, based on experience, plus a 13th-month salary and annual bonuses. Key Responsibilities Budgeting & Financial Management Manage budgets, project cash flow, and review costs. Oversee accounts payable/receivable, including payment scheduling and bi-weekly processing of receivables from HQ. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Assist with vendor negotiations for optimal purchasing conditions. Payroll & Journal Entries Process payroll, journal entries, and payments. Calculate and book depreciation entries and prepaid expenses. Manage apportionment and other journal entries. Accounts Payable & Receivable Process invoices, scan and schedule payments, and issue import/export invoices. Manage purchase orders and verify bi-weekly shipments. Reconcile AP aging, AR, and general ledger accounts. Month-End & Year-End Closing Prepare and review financial reports, trial balances, and inventory reconciliations. Reconcile asset and liability accounts and provide GL analysis. Maintain and update fixed asset lists. Tax & Compliance Calculate and process ISS tax and Federal Tax filings. Ensure annual government obligations (e.g., DIRF, IBGE) are met. Reporting & Analysis Run and review purchase order reports, exchange rate variances, and costing journals. Reconcile sales journals and inventory reports. Administrative & Communication Respond to emails and inquiries. Manage employee vacation calculations, health insurance co-pays, and company car insurance. Send credit card statements to the headquarters Controller. Collaborate with the accounting firm and attend meetings as needed. Qualifications Experience & Education Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial management. ERP experience (Inform Visual is a plus). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Language & Collaboration Fluency in Portuguese and English required. Experience working remotely is a plus. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Brazil.
